Current teaching (Summer semester 2010)

Future teaching

These are my future teaching plans, at different levels of certainty.

Course 10/11

  • Galois theory as a Spezialvorlesung. Language: English. My intention is to teach the basics of Galois theory, possibly combining the modern approach with the original ideas of Galois and others.
  • Mathematics for chemists I or II, as in the course 09/10, but only one of the two semesters.

Past teaching

During my postdoctoral stay in RICAM I have taught undergraduate mathematics for chemists.

  • Mathematics for chemists I and Exercises in mathematics for chemists I during Winter 2009/2010. Slides, exercise sheets and the schedule can be found in the KUSSS system.

During my postdoctoral stay in Concordia University (Montreal, Canada) I taught and assisted in several undergraduate courses in mathematics and computer science.

  • Differential and Integral Calculus I (MATH 203) during Winter 2007. Link to page
  • Teaching Assistant of Techniques in Symbolic Computation (MAST332/COMP367) during Winter 2007.
  • College Algebra (MATH 202) during Autumn 2006. Link to page
  • Teaching Assistant of Mathematics with Computer Algebra (MAST 232) during Winter 2006.
  • Teaching Assistant of Math for Computer Science I (COMP 238) during Autumn 2006.
  • Teaching Assistant of Math for Computer Science II (COMP 239) during Summer 2006.
  • Teaching Assistant of Math for Computer Science I (COMP 238) during Winter 2006.

During my doctoral period in Universidad de Cantabria (Santander, Spain) I shared the teaching of several undergraduate courses in coding theory and computer science.

  • Shared teaching of Computer Science In Spanish during the course 2004/2005.
  • Shared teaching of Information coding theory In Spanish during the course 2004/2005.
  • Shared teaching of Computer Science In Spanish during the course 2003/2004.
  • Shared teaching of Computer Science In Spanish during the course 2002/2003.
  • Shared teaching of Information coding theory In Spanish during the course 2002/2003.
  • Shared teaching of Information coding theory In Spanish during the course 2001/2002.
